Collaboration for Cancer Aware

treatment Wellness for Cancer, the first global organisation to establish standardised, objective, cancer-focused training and business criteria for the Spa and wellness industry, has partnered with Shared Beauty Secrets, founders of the Lava Shell massage, to develop the first Cancer Aware Lava Shells treatment, Lava Wellness.

Drawing on their 10 years of experience of delivering safe treatments, Wellness for Cancer has collaborated with Shared Beauty Secrets to provide training to therapists already Lava Shell trained in a Cancer Aware specific Lava Shell massage. This will allow them to offer a safe treatment to clients who have experienced or are currently living with cancer.

Announcing the collaboration, Clare Anderson, Founder of Shared Beauty Secrets and the Lava Shell Massage says: “This collaboration marks an important step forward not just for Lava Shells but also for the industry. Incorporating gentle warmth into massage gives deeply rewarding benefits and we are absolutely delighted that we can now safely offer this to our clients with or post cancer. We thank Wellness for Cancer for giving us the confidence and skills to achieve this.”

Habia is the government appointed sector skills body and industry authority for hair, beauty, nails, Spa therapy, barbering and African type hair, whilst SkillsActive is the officially recognised and licensed organisation that sets standards for skills.
