Guild News features writer, Helena Tinklin, tells us more about the treatment...

“I recently visited Beautification salon in Nottingham to trial my first Waxü Signature Intimate Wax. It was fair to say I was slightly on edge about the treatment, however my lovely therapist Steph quickly calmed my nerves with her friendly, approachable demeanour, explaining to me exactly what would happen with my treatment.

“To start the process, Steph cleansed the skin with Waxü’s Pre-cleanse Lotion. This hypoallergenic antiseptic product helps to prepare the area for wax application. Then, she proceeded to check that the Hot Wax was at a comfortable temperature for me before applying a strip of Waxü’s Hot Wax, starting from the outside and working her way in. This wax is designed to have a low melting point and rapid drying time, shrinking around the hairs before being removed. Flexible, the wax moulds to the contours of the body and is gently fragranced with aromatherapy essential oils for a pleasant finish. With each application, Steph wrapped the used spatula end with some couch roll before turning the spatula around and using a clean end. On occasion, she applied the Pre-cleanse Lotion on top of the Hot Wax to help further speed up the wax drying time, making this an exceptionally quick service.

“In thorough care, Steph proceeded to use Waxü’s Warm Strip Wax on any hairs which had been left behind, creating the best finish possible. The treatment concluded with Waxü’s Post Wax Soothe, a luxurious antiseptic oil which helps to soothe the skin post treatment.”

Waxü’s complete range includes Pre Wax Cleanse, Hot Wax Beads, Warm Wax, Post Wax Soothe, Branded Wax Strips, Branded Disposable Spatulas and a Branded Therapists Apron.

Jet Peel 3V is a versatile, multi- platform system that uses the power of air to stimulate bio-rejuvenation of the skin, for painless cleansing and exfoliation.

Jet Peel 3V uses three special patented hand-pieces, powered by medical grade gas (air) or CO2 which connects to the machine injecting water, saline or vitamin infusions up to 1.4mm into the epidermis. The extreme velocity air breaks down the infusions into micro-droplets, creating a kinetic energy allowing deeper penetration with little or no downtime.
