"We keep in touch with anyone who has expressed interest in our Garces restau- rants for group events,whether they have booked with us or not," Moore notes. "We reach out to them and send them updates and information and try to stay top of mind when it comes to their future bookings."


Garces has grown quickly over the last five years,and their sales and event team has been largely home grown over that time. Many of the staffers have been promoted from within other areas of Garces Group (administrative positions, internships, restaurant hosts), so they truly learn about the brand and business from the inside. Because of their previ- ous experience, they are very familiar with procedures and policies,outreach, and the importance of client retention and relationships before ever joining the sales team.


"Our staff knows the food extremely well and also our culture. Relationship build- ing is so important,as is our philosophy of working together as a team. Having such a knowledge- able staff helps in making the process easier for the client from start to finish," observes Moore.
