The Conference Center at CHF in Old City, Philadelphia has been recognized for architectural excellence by the Pennsyl- vania chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Since the early 1980s, CHF has preserved, interpreted and promoted the history of scientific adventure, which created and continues to shape the mod- ern world.
When attendees meet at this unique con- ference center, they enjoy that the facility is located in front of Independence National Historic Park with all of its attrac- tions like the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and the National Constitution Center nearby. Also steps away are restaurants, pubs, coffee houses, art galleries and shopping.
“Old City Philadelphia has more than 50 restaurants, pubs and coffee shops within a two-block radius,” said Lou Marrocco, CMP, SEPC (sustainable events profession- al certification), the business develop- ment manager for the Conference Center at CHF.
As for the Museum at CHF, it is free and open to the public. Its permanent and changing exhibits explore the history of chemistry and the role science plays in the modern world. In October 2015,
“Science of Play”will move in the muse- um. Attendees will be fascinated by this first major museum exhibit, which explores the complex history of chemistry sets and other miniature laboratories that were designed and created for children. In addition, the permanent exhibit, “Making Modernity,”shows how chemistry has touched people's lives, frequently in unexpected ways.
Each of these conference centers offers so much more than dedicated meeting space. These venues boasts high-tech offerings, outstanding service and top- notch meeting space, but they also offer some very unique features and amenities for making any meeting more enticing.
