The Ullyot Room set up for a luncheon at the Conference Center at Chemical Heritage Foundation in Philadelphia, PA
attendees for selecting the facility and delivering a great meeting experience.
Chauncey Hotel and Conference Center can accommodate from 20 to 100 atten- dees and offers 10,500-square feet of meeting space, 23 fully equipped meet- ing rooms with Internet access, readily available videoconferencing, plus a business center with copying and ship- ping services. Attendees can luxuriate in the hotel's 100 newly renovated guest rooms with free Internet access.
Groups don’t get lost in the conference center, either, because it isn’t too large, and each group will feel important no matter what the size of their event. In fact, larger groups often have the entire venue to themselves, Lyons noted.
“We just hosted a pharmaceutical group that merged with another company, and they brought in all of their people who didn’t know each other,” she said. “The group had its meetings, team building activity and socializing. They pretty much took over every space we had to offer and they loved it. They were able to accomplish what they set out to do, which was to build a strong team. We were able to deliver that for them.”
The pharmaceutical group found that Chauncey offered another bonus. It was important to the group to lock the meet- ing room doors so only certain people could access them. With the facility’s electronic key system, the doors were latched. The meeting planner was pro- vided with key fobs, and she felt very secure with the process.
Close to the hotel and conference center is the Laurie House, which is a former hunting club that offers guests of Chauncey the intimate atmosphere of a small inn. Seven elegant bed-and-break- fast-style guest rooms are available here.
For those who want to unwind a bit, Chauncey offers Cbar, which is open daily. The Solomon Room, Chauncey’s main dining room, consists of expansive windows looking onto the lake, lawn and gardens.
For dining, the executive chef at Chauncey creates dishes using local arti- san products and produce, as well as freshly picked herbs fromthe on premise garden.
