Royal Sonesta Harbor Court recently unveiled a $10 million renovation to its hotel interior, including public spaces and guest rooms. It was the first major over- haul for the property since joining the Royal Sonesta brand in 2012. The hotel has an updated lobby with a new tinted glass chandelier, and a redesigned library, plus 12,000-square feet of renovated meeting space. The number of guest rooms was increased from 195 to 203 (which includes 21 suites), and all of the guest rooms were updated.

The Inner Harbor’s Hyatt Regency Baltimore updated its lobby with new escalators, furniture, flooring and lighting, and added charging stations and free WiFi in the lobby, restaurant and guest rooms. Upgrades also were made to the swimming pool area, and a fire pit was added. In late November, the hotel's 488 guest rooms will be refreshed, as well, with the project slated for completion by March of 2016.

The Ivy Hotel opened in June of 2015 in the historic Mount Vernon neighborhood following an $18 million restoration and is Baltimore’s first luxury boutique hotel at the site of a brownstone building that dates back to the late 1800s. In the 1980s, it served as the city-owned Inn at Government House for visiting dignitaries. Today, the hotel’s 18 guest accommodations (nine suites and nine rooms) each have a fireplace and private bathroom, while some also feature balconies, and still others offer easy access to the on site Ivy spa. Other amenities at this pet-friendly property include a fine-dining restaurant, Magdalena, a conservatory, tea room, library, game room, breakfast room, and a music room.
