Look to Montgomery County for upcoming Washington, DC metro area meetings and events. Located just 10 minutes from DC, the county offers more than 50 hotels with 10,000 sleeping rooms and 400,000-square feet of meeting space.
Montgomery County encompasses numerous cities, towns and urban districts in Maryland, including Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Silver Spring, Rockville, Gaithersburg and Germantown. The county has something to suit every budget, with accommodations ranging from moderately-priced to all-suite properties and full-service hotels, as well as non-traditional meeting locations, retreat lodges, and dedicated conference centers.
On July 29, 2015, Visit Montgomery held its first Montgomery County “Association Appreciation Event” for planners based in Montgomery County at Jaleo Restaurant in Bethesda. Twelve planners joined in networking and a hands-on Paella making demonstration and dinner. Guests walked away with a swag bag of Montgomery county material, including a recipe and ingredients to make their own Paella dish.
