death sentence for a cat or dog. We can save them all,” said Debi. No Kill Nation is a national advocacy organi- zation based out of Lighthouse Point, Florida, just south of Deerfield Beach. According to the NKN website,
the organization is dedicated to end- ing the systematic killing of healthy
and treatable animals in our nation’s shelters. NKN will provide resources and support to No Kill advocates and advocacy groups, local and state governments and private and municipal shelters nationwide that are working to implement the only model of sheltering to achieve save rates of 90 percent or bet- ter. Currently, shelter killing is still the leading cause of death for healthy dogs and cats in the United States.
