Good Food. Fun Friends. Happy Times.

One of the keys to enjoy- ing a meal is to be sur- rounded by like-minded people who also enjoy laughter. Then, find a restaurant that embraces those qualities, like Sweet Sage Cafe on North Redington Beach. The owners thoughtfully designed the outdoor din- ing with dog lovers in mind. Artwork is every- where - from garden art, to scupltures and Chotchkies with funny quotes on them. Unless you’re a regu- lar, the menu is going to take some time to peruse. So, order up a specialty coffee drink, mimosa or health shake and settle in. The service is very good with John the owner per- sonally checking in from time to time. Not only are water bowls brought out for the dogs, but a specail menu is available for your pup - from Pup Tarts to the French Poodle Toast.

Bailey, our dining doggie diva and restaurant review- er, invited some of her four legged friends to meet her at Sweet Sage one late morning. Of course, their (somewhat) well-behaved humans were invited as well. Breakfast and lunched are served daily, and since we all arrived late morning, we tried a little bit of many

options off both menus. Fresh and absolutely delicious. as ever and beauti- fully presented. We could have stayed all day in the pleasant garden area. Leave your dog with someone in your group to slip away inside the restaurant. There are a couple of walls with photos from another era, including when Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio visted the beach. The unique thing about the photos is, John Messmore is that John is either in many of them, or has a personal story. He grew up on the beach and is a wealth of wonderful nostalgia.

The Waffle Daffle has been a favorite for many years.

Salads arrived with fresh fruit and house made dressing.

Bailey loves her yogurt, on the dog menu.

Breakfast plates can be light or abundant, depending on your appetite. Every plate is satisfyingly delicious.
