Winemaker and owner of Mutt Lynch Winery out of California, Brenda Lynch released a limited produc- tion series of wines called mbf (Man’s Best Friend). One of the wines, the mbf Primitivo, was awarded the 2009 Best of Class by the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. The Zinfandel and Petite Sirah have garnered a combined two Best of Class, five Silver and five Bronze Medals as well. Lynch is something of a rare breed herself. Less
than 10 percent of California winemakers are women. And she regularly pays it forward by helping other women in the field, in addition to donating a portion of the winery’s proceeds to animal rescue. In Florida, the mbf series of wines may be found
