Dalesauna Embarks On £1m Center Parcs Contract
Dalesauna is to start installing a range of saunas and spa suites at the new Center Parcs village in Woburn this month in a contract worth more than £1m.
Due to open in spring 2014, Woburn Forest is the fifth Center Parcs village in the UK. Following the success of Dalesauna’s heat experiences at Center Parcs villages in Sherwood Forest, Whinfell, Elvedon and Longleat, the sauna and steam room specialist was appointed by contractor ISG to install 169 pine saunas in all Executive Lodges across the 365 acre site. Designed to embrace modern family living, the Executive Lodges are being built to an upside down design, with the main living area on the first floor offering guests panoramic views across the woodland.
All Executive Lodges will feature one of Dalesauna’s luxury pine saunas. Measuring 3m x 2m, the family sized saunas can accommodate up to six people and will incorporate traditional or infrared technology. Both types of sauna offer a host of benefits from stress relief to flushing out toxins. Dalesauna has also been contracted to install 16 spa pods in the four-bedroom Exclusive Lodges. The suites will feature a family sized pine sauna, a steam room and feature shower
with tiling by Porcelanosa and featuring warm amber LED lighting. In a fast-track scheme, Dalesauna will install approximately 30 units a month until September in time for the spring launch of the village. “We are immensely proud of our association with Center Parcs and have established a fantastic working relationship with the company. They are exacting in their requirements, but an absolute delight to work with, as their goal is always to provide the
best possible experience for their visitors. To be trusted with the installation of the complete package is a tremendous boost for us, and a testament to the high standards we have achieved for Center Parcs with previous installations,” said Gerard McCarthy, Sales Director at Dalesauna.
