eXact Micro 10 hand held tester

www.swimmingpoolnews.co.uk

The future of pool testing is digital. Hand held colorimeters (or photometers) are becoming routine like smart phones. These meters have a high tech appearance but are easy for homeowners to use. The results are faster, safer, easier, and more precise water testing.

Cost per test with a colorimeter can be as low as the cost per test using drop reagents or visual (colour matching) test strips. The ITS range of eXact waterproof colorimeters offers multi parameter water quality tests for each meter. In the pool market, the eXact Micro 10 is their best seller because the most needed tests are included: combined chlorine, free chlorine, total chlorine, cyanuric acid, copper, bromine, total alkalinity, ozone, calcium hardness, phosphate, pH and chloride/salt. The test method is patented and easy. Each parameter test takes only 20 seconds to run and can be carried out poolside.

HANNA INSTRUMENTS TESTING COMBINATIONS

The HI-3825 swimming pool test kit includes tests for the main parameters required for daily and weekly tests in swimming pools; alkalinity, bromine, chlorine and pH. As chlorine and bromine kill microorganisms, they are commonly used in swimming pool water because of their disinfectant properties. Alkalinity and pH should be monitored because their concentration in pool water affects the proper activity of the disinfecting agents. Bromine and chlorine tests are colorimetric (colour comparison), while alkalinity tests are a titration. pH tests are performed with Hanna’s pH tester. The pHep®

pHep® offers greater accuracy and a wider range than litmus
