03) MAKE THE MOST OF THE SWIMMING POOL SPACE One obvious downside to many swimming pools is the lack of flexibility some offer and the amount of permanent space they occupy, but over recent years, that has been changing, thanks to the installation of moving pool floors.
The provision of a moving pool floor now opens up a whole new world of exciting possibilities. Commercial facilities are now benefiting from multi-use pools with better access for the young and disabled and even additional sports halls.
Moving floors aren’t cheap though and whilst the costs of each varies, it seems for many commercial operators the investment is worthwhile thanks to the flexibility and additional revenue generating opportunities that they provide. In fact despite their costs, it is estimated that half of all new commercial pools being built will have a moving floor option of some sort. Running costs are reduced too as when in position, they retain heat within the pool water and reduce the amount of chemicals needed. They also provide the priceless peace of mind that the pool area is fully secure. Suntrap Systems are the UK representative for KBE Bauelemente from Germany who have over 1,000 satisfied moving floor customers worldwide. KBE’s moving floor product range is split into four category types, depending on the type of pool use – LSB Floors for teaching pools, MZB Floors for multipurpose pools, KSB Floors for pools for children, senior citizens and people with disabilities and ISB Floors for

04) CERTIKIN SUNCAP IS A GREAT MONEY SAVER FOR OUTDOOR POOLS!
A market leader in Australia, the high quality Certikin Suncap Solar blanket’s unique composition offers the highest performance levels of any bubble material in the marketplace providing excellent value for money with maximum durability against the effects of sun, salt and chlorine.
Exclusive to Certikin, the Suncap traps the sun’s solar energy in the pool water significantly reducing heat, water and chemical loss. This is thanks to its improved polyethylene distribution which gives a stronger, more effective bubble. The shape and size of the bubble itself also offers greater strength, higher heat transfer and more improved insulation. The greater air space in the bubble means that less heat escapes from the pool. It has a high level of UV inhibitors and its pale, translucent top surface allows maximum penetration of short wavelengths and the larger surface area of the Suncap bubbles trap these waves within the pool water, potentially increasing a pool’s temperature by up to 8°C. The Suncap’s bubble shape also provides superior buoyancy and excellent adhesion to the water during high winds and its lower profile makes the cover more compact when rolled around a reel system. Suncap is available in 400 and 500 micron grades.

05) SAVE ENERGY BY INSTALLING AN OZONE OR UV WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM To offer commercial pools a star in the night sky, Golden Coast is drawing attention to the very latest super-efficient, environmentally- friendly, energy-saving industrial pool products designed and built in Great Britain. Golden Coast is the UK’s exclusive distributor for Scottish manufacturers Triogen, a world-leader in ozone and UV water treatment systems for private and commercial swimming pools.
Known worldwide as an innovative manufacturer of precision engineered products, Triogen’s range of water treatment systems uses advanced, patented technology to combine high performance with low energy consumption, whilst also maintaining optimum reliability and safety.
For those desperately trying to save money somewhere by pruning energy bills, there are three Triogen products that really stand out from the crowd.
The first is the TOGC2, also known as the Compact Ozone Generator. The TOGC2 is a small, wall-mountable, air-cooled ozone generator specifically designed to use as little energy as possible. With minimal 105W power consumption, it is the lowest of the range, yet still produces up to 10g/h. The second and third bits of kit from
