HOT TUBS

spa is incomparable, however in the past owning a vanishing edge spa would require a homeowner to have an expensive custom spa built onsite with a complex plumbing system. This made the superior design un-obtainable for the majority of homeowners. Not anymore. The Cascade Series is the complete hot tub package and can be installed anywhere with no additional plumbing required. In addition, nearly all Cascade models come with the largest spa waterfall available mounted high above the waterline and a gorgeous LED lit spillover waterfall that cascades over the spas edge giving you an incredible total of nearly six feet of relaxing falling water.

CARBON FIBRE GIVES SPA CREST SUPERIOR STRENGTH Technological improvement is a key component in Spa Crest Europe’s product development programme. The company is constantly on the look-out for innovative ways of delivering tangible benefits to consumers. Speaking from Spa Crest Manufacturing’s HQ in Claxton, Georgia, CEO Chad Moreton said: “One of the key recent uses of cutting edge technology for us has been the incorporation of carbon fibre in our spa shells.” Those familiar with the fields of aerospace, luxury yachts and Formula 1 cars will already be aware of carbon fibre. The material is renowned for its properties of being incredibly lightweight coupled with immense strength, making it ideal for incorporating in a spa shell, particular at key stress points created by the acrylic vacuum-moulding process. In the past, spa shells have been reinforced either by making the fibre-glass backing thicker and thicker, or incorporating materials such as ABS or even angled steel profiles, which in turn increase weight, putting extra strain on the shell and the supporting framework. Increased weight also makes moving and handling a spa at the time of delivery and installation a lot more challenging. Spa Crest say that the inclusion of carbon fibre delivers the twin benefits of delivering superior structural integrity over other materials, without increasing the weight of the shell! Chad went on to say: “We are delighted to launch this industry-first. The use of carbon fibre to reinforce the shell at specific points of stress gives our already rock-solid shell an extra dimension which we hope demonstrates

to our customers our commitment to quality and value, and instill even greater confidence in our products.”

Spa Crest are also investing in the redesign of the shells of their Coastal range, making them more ergonomic and body hugging. The changes will have rolled out across the range by the end of January 2014.

The company is devoted to using superior hydrotherapy to keep their customers relaxed and stress-free. Sundance Spas’ portable and in-ground hot tubs are technologically advanced, well-designed, durable, and are complemented by a complete line of hot tub accessories. “We knew we were onto a winner when we teamed up with Sundance Spas,” says Jamie Adams, Golden Coast’s Managing Director. “The beautiful design of every model is clear to see, and beneath each lies a tremendous reputation for quality and innovative technology.” Among the company’s key innovations is its patented Fluidix jet technology, which allows users to select a range of settings according to their moods and needs. This can mean anything from a steady flow to an oscillating, swirling, pulsing, streaming or penetrating massage.

As Jamie explains: “Sundance Spas is a premium brand for customers who realise the importance of investing in their health and relaxation, so whether the aim is deep relaxation or powerful reinvigoration, Fluidix jets will provide the right therapy. What’s more, they don’t use bearings, so there is no clogging or wearing.”

Another technological advance is CLEARRAY UV-C, which keeps the hot tub water clean and fresh without using chemicals that would sting users’ eyes or dry out their skin. This is standard on all new Sundance spas and can even be retro-fitted to older models or other makes. SPN
