Fila Surface Care Regime Specified At The Orchard Spa

A Fila surface care regime has been specified at exclusive haven, The Orchard Spa in the Cotswolds. Set around a network of clearwater lakes, the £3m spa complex forms part of The Lakes by yoo – a 650-acre luxury development, designed by renowned Architect, Angus Morrogh- Ryan. Fila surface care products were specified to care for and protect a variety of Mandarin Stone surfaces, which were installed by C&A Bennett Tiling. Nestled within an arboretum and orchard of mature trees, The Orchard Spa spans 10,000 sq ft and includes a 20-metre indoor pool, a clubroom, treatment rooms, gym, steam room and sauna. As part of the project, C&A Bennett Tiling installed wall and floor tiles; sourced, fabricated and installed bespoke vanity tops and upstands, and treated all surfaces with Fila products. Natural surfaces specified included over 1,000m2

of Mandarin

Stone’s basalt and granite floor tiles around the spa pool, within treatment rooms and throughout walkways and corridors. Mandarin Stone’s Polished Carrara Marble was also installed onto walls and vanity tops.

Atmospheric conditions contributed towards the natural manifestation of efflorescence, which was tackled using Fila Deterdek. After installation,

Fila Deterdek was used to carry out an initial wash and Fila Cleaner was recommended for ongoing daily maintenance. Stone surfaces were treated with Fila Hydrorep – a water-repellent penetrating sealer, and stain-proofing Filafob. Combined cleaner, stain and wax remover – FILAPS87 – was also specified for periodic deep cleaning, whilst stain proofer, FILAMP90, was applied to marble surfaces. All treatments provided high coverage and long lasting protection, without forming a film or altering appearance.

Golden Coast Supplies Equipment Fit For Heroes

For many servicemen and women wounded in the line of duty, life will never be the same. Help for Heroes believes they deserve the very best of support to recover and build new, active, independent and fulfilling lives. This is a view strongly endorsed by Golden Coast, which has recently supplied sauna and steam equipment to aid that recovery. The installation is at Tedworth House in Wiltshire, which is seen as the flagship Help for Heroes Recovery Centre. The centre’s Phoenix Wing has been fitted with a steam room and a sauna from the prestigious Swedish manufacturer Tylö, for which Golden Coast is the UK distributor. In keeping with its aim to provide the best of everything, Help for Heroes chose a Tylö Evolve 2422 sauna cabin and a Tylö Excellent 8AL steam room – expertly installed by sauna and steam room specialist Leisurequip. Constructed from aspen wood with a glass door, the Evolve 2422 combines a traditional sauna feel

with modern technology. The high- tech steam room is built from a special grade of vacuum-formed plastic to ensure tight seams and a robust structure. Both rooms offer exceptional levels of disabled access. “The sauna and steam room are great additions to the

facilities at Tedworth House,” says Martin Colclough, Head of Sports Recovery at Help for Heroes. “They help, in particular, to relieve joint pain and muscular tension, but in addition the

sauna, steam and aromatherapy provide a relaxing environment for both body and mind.” The new facilities have been warmly welcomed by residents including veteran Billy Brumfield: “Like a lot of wounded soldiers, I’ve found it hard to come to terms with the changes in my life. “The support we ge t from Help for Heroes is brilliant, and having access to high-quality facilities like the sauna and steam room helps to make us feel we are appreciated. I can see that this is already having a beneficial physical effect on me and I always look forward to winding down with a steamy relaxation session.”
