This trip takes you on an incredible loop from beautiful San Francisco and back again with stops in LA, San Diego, Phoenix and Las Vegas along the way. In between, you’ll have the chance to take a dip in the Pacifi c, picnic in Arizona’s Red Rock State Park, raft the Colorado River, hike the Grand Canyon and stretch out under star-fi lled skies in the region’s top national parks.


Itinerary & Sightseeing


Day 1-3 San Francisco/Big Sur/Santa Barbara (1B,1L,2D) Orientation tour of San Francisco. Wind the roads of the coast, checking out Big Sur and Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. Enjoy a campfire at Cachuma Lake. › Day 4-6 Los Angeles/San Diego (2B,1L,2D) Take in the sights on city tours of LA and San Diego. Optional Universal Studio’s tour or surf the waves › Day 7 Scottsdale (1B,1L) Visit the Imperial Sand Dunes, the largest mass of sand dunes in California before travelling to Scottsdale for a real cowboy town experience › Day 8-9 Grand Canyon National Park (1B,2L,2D) Visit Montezuma Castle. Hike the ‘Grandest of Canyons’, take an optional helicopter flight › Day 10-11 Lake Powell/Monument Valley (2B,2L,1D) Visit the Glen Canyon Dam. Take an optional tour of Antelope Canyon. › Day 12-13 Moab (2B,1L,1D) Hike in Canyonlands National Park and visit the rock formations of Arches National Park. › Day 14 Bryce Canyon National Park (1B,1L,1D) Drive along Scenic Byway 12. Learn about the Fremont culture and view petroglyphs at Capitol Reef National Park. › Day 15-16 Zion National Park/ Las Vegas (1B,1L) Hike in Zion National Park.
