Itinerary & Sightseeing
Day 1-2 Ho Chi Minh City Option to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, War Remnants Museum or go shopping in Ben Thanh market. Overnight train to Nha Trang. › Day 3-4 Nha Trang (1B) Relax by the beach or opt to take a snorkelling boat trip. Overnight train to Da Nang (Hoi An). › Day 5-6 Hoi An (1B) Opt to take a cooking class, visit the My Son ruins, take a riverboat tour or explore the old town. › Day 7-8 Hue (2B) Optional Citadel tour or Perfume River boat trip. Overnight train to Hanoi. › Day 9 Halong Bay/Bai Chai Harbour (1L) Visit Halong Bay for a seafood lunch cruise and a cave visit. › Day 10-11 Hanoi (2B) Orientation walk of Hanoi with option to see Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, the Temple of Literature or shop in the Old Quarter. › Day 12 Vientiane (1B) Fly to the capital city of Laos. Option to visit temples, the National Museum, That Luang and markets. › Day 13-14 Vang Vieng (1B) Optional hiking, biking, caving, swimming. › Day 15-16 Luang Prabang (1B) Opt to take a cooking class, go on an elephant trek and Bear Rescue Centre or go shopping in the night markets. › Day 17 Mekong River (1B,1D) Cruise the Mekong on a long houseboat before arriving to a village homestay for the night. › Day 18 Chiang Khong (1B,1L) Mekong River travel day and cross the border into Thailand. › Day 19-20 Chiang Mai Visit Doi Suthep or the Chiang Mai Zoo, catch a Thai boxing match before boarding an overnight train to Bangkok. › Day 21-22 Bangkok Option to visit Wat Po and the Grand Palace, go shopping, or relax with a Thai massage.
