You’ll kick off the adventure in sophisticated Buenos Aires before getting your heart pounding on horseback rides and day hikes at a working Uruguayan ranch. Marvel at Iguassu Falls, then hop on a fl ight to Sao Paulo on your way to the Brazilian coast—no gruelling bus ride means more time on the beach. We’ll wrap up in the party city of Rio, where you’re free to embrace the carnival atmosphere from our centrally located Copacabana hotel.
Itinerary & Sightseeing
Day 1 Buenos Aires Arrive at any time. › Day 2 Buenos Aires Explore the many attractions. Check out a football match, a tango show, or the famous city nightlife. › Day 3-5 Colonia/Montevideo Cross the Rio de la Plata by ferry to Colonia, Uruguay. Free time to explore the area and relax at a streetside café. In the country’s capital, visit the Carnival Museum and grab a snack at the Port Market. › Day 6-8 Estancia Stay (2B,2L,2D) Leave the city and lights behind in favour of the Uruguayan rural life. Get dirty at a working ranch, head for hikes or horseback rides and indulge in local barbeques and wine. Head out on Day 8 for the Argentine border and an overnight bus. › Day 9-10 Iguassu Falls Explore both the Argentine and Brazilian sides of the falls with an optional boat ride near the base of the falls. › Day 11-12 Paraty Skipping a 15-hour bus ride, we fly to Sao Paulo and head straight to the coast. Explore the colonial Paraty, take time on the beaches, enjoy an optional cachaça distillery visit or a boat tour of the bay. › Day 13-15 Ilha Grande Free time for hikes and walks around the island to explore the beaches or take an optional boat tour. › Day 16 Rio de Janeiro Explore the city using our centrally located hotel in Copacabana as a base. › Day 17 Rio de Janeiro Depart at any time.
