Beginning in Nairobi, this adventure offers up the prizes of Uganda before heading east towards the beaches of Zanzibar. Enjoy game drives across the Serengeti and trek through remote forests to encounter mountain gorillas in their own habitat. Travel aboard our overland truck is well-paced and wilderness camping along the way will bring you closer to the region’s wildlife. Our certifi ed Group Leader will lead the way and share with you the hidden gems that will have your camera’s shutter working overtime.


Itinerary & Sightseeing


Please note that Days 4-11 for all departures between January 1 and March 31 will be run in reverse. All destinations and inclusions will still be provided.


Day 1 Nairobi (1L,1D) Early start from Nairobi. Enjoy a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. › Day 2-4 Eldoret/Kampala (3B,2L,3D) and explore Uganda’s largest city. › Day 5-6 Queen Elizabeth National Park (2B,2L,2D) Enjoy game drives and take an optional Kazinga Channel boat cruise. › Day 7-9 Gorilla Tracking/Lake Bunyonyi (3B,3L,3D) Enjoy a one day guided mountain gorilla trek. Option to go canoeing, fishing, hiking or boating. › Day 10-12 Mbarara/Jinja (3B,3L,3D) Opt to go rafting or kayaking down the White Nile River or volunteering with a local project in Jinja. › Day 13-15 Eldoret/Nairobi/Arusha (3B,3L,2D) Head to Nairobi before crossing into Tanzania. › Day 16-18 Serengeti National Park/Ngorongoro Crater/Arusha (3B,3L,3D) Daily game drives. › Day 19-23 Dar Es Salaam/ Zanzibar (5B,1L,1D) Cross over to Zanzibar by ferry. Embark on a guided tour of a spice plantation. Option to visit Arab residences, museums, historic sites, go snorkelling or scuba diving, or just relax on the beach. › Day 24 Zanzibar (1B) Depart at any time.
