Itinerary & Sightseeing


Day 1 Playa del Carmen Arrive at any time. › Day 2 Playa del Carmen Head out to explore the Mayan ruins of Tulúm or the diving mecca of Cozumel. Or play in the waves and enjoy the beach! › Day 3-5 Caye Caulker Opt to snorkel with stingrays and nurse sharks at Hol Chan Marine Reserve, head out diving or just chill out, Belizean style. › Day 6-7 San Ignacio Free day to visit the sacred Mayan cave Actun Tunichil Muknal, explore the Mountain Pine Ridge area or see the seldom-visited Mayan ruins of Xunantunich. › Day 8 Flores/Tikal Learn about the Mayan culture and history on an included guided tour of Tikal. › Day 9-10 Río Dulce Visit the coastal town of Livingston by boat or head for a swim in a natural hot waterfall. › Day 11-12 Antigua Explore this colonial city on an orientation walk. Relax with a massage or soak up the culture in one of many cafés. › Day 13 Panajachel/ Chichicastenango Visit the famous market of Chichicastenango en route to Lake Atitlán. › Day 14 Lake Atitlán homestay (1D) Embark on a boat ride across the lake. Participate in a homestay at a Planeterra project with a local family and test out your local language skills. › Day 15 Antigua Take a salsa dancing lesson, look for last-minute souvenirs and enjoy a final night out. › Day 16 Antigua Depart at any time.
