Ancient wonders, bustling markets and rugged mountain views— experience the best of Egypt’s history and culture on this budget adventure. Sail the Nile and wander through the temples and tombs of the Valley of the Kings. Of course, you’ll witness the magnifi cence of the pyramids, but you can also climb Mt Sinai and relax at the beachside village of Dahab along the Red Sea. While you’re free to choose your own adventure, your accommodation and transportation are included and our expert Group Leader will help you make the most of your time spent in this ancient region.


Itinerary & Sightseeing


Day 1 Cairo Arrive at any time. › Day 2 Cairo (1B) Guided tour to the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Guided tour of the Egyptian Museum (entrance fees not included). Overnight train to Aswan. › Day 3-4 Aswan (1B,1D) Visit a Nubian village and enjoy a traditional home-cooked dinner with the locals. Option to visit the temples of Abu Simbel. › Day 5-6 Nile River (2B,2L,2D) Two days sailing by felucca. Overnight on board. › Day 7-9 Luxor (3B) Travel by donkey to the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (entrance fees not included). Option to visit Karnak and Luxor temples. Overnight train to Cairo. › Day 10 Cairo Optional visit to the Citadel and Khan el-Khalili bazaar. › Day 11 Mount Sinai (1B) Hike to the top of Mt Sinai for sunset. › Day 12-13 Dahab (2B) Head to the Red Sea and enjoy snorkelling, swimming and relaxing. › Day 14 Cairo (1B) Drive back to Cairo. Optional Nile cruise dinner. › Day 15 Cairo (1B) Depart at any time.
