Itinerary & Sightseeing
Day 1 Sydney Arrive at any time. › Day 2 Nundle Sheep Station Travel to Hunter Valley for a vineyard tour and wine tasting. Overnight at a sheep station, including a shearing lesson. › Day 3 Bingara Visit a working mine and have a go at gem mining with a tour from a local jackaroo. › Day 4 Yamba Trek in the national park and swim in a swimming hole. › Day 5-6 Byron Bay Travel up the coast with free time to explore before bunking down in a teepee. › Day 7 Brisbane Chill out on the Gold Coast. › Day 8-9 Fraser Island Guided walking tour of Brisbane. Ferry to Fraser Island with a 4x4 tour of the island and guided rainforest walk. › Day 10 Cattle Station Visit a working cattle station. Bed down in a ‘swag’ (canvas bedroll). › Day 11-12 Whitsunday Islands Sailing Travel to Mackay to embark on a three day sailing adventure. › Day 13 Whitsundays/Whitehaven Beach/Airlie Beach Hike over Whitehaven Beach with free time before sailing to Airlie Beach. › Day 14 Cairns Train to Cairns. › Day 15 Cape Tribulation Learn traditional Aboriginal art and go spearfishing. Overnight in a rainforest lodge beside the beach. › Day 16 Cooktown Travel by 4x4 stopping at Bloomfield Falls with dinner with the locals before sleeping under the stars in a ‘swag’. › Day 17 Cairns Meet an Aboriginal Elder before traveling back to Cairns
