Wander the tranquil monasteries of Luang Prabang and experience the French colonial infl uence while sipping coffee at a café. Take 12 days to uncover this laid-back corner of South East Asia. While you’re free to choose your own adventure, your accommodation and transportation are included and our expert Group Leader will help you make the most of your time. Take a slow boat down the Mekong or admire the limestone karsts surrounding Vang Vieng from your pushbike.


Itinerary & Sightseeing


Day 1 Hanoi Arrive at any time. › Day 2 Vientiane (1B) A short flight takes us to the capital city of Laos. Option to visit temples, the National Museum, That Luang or markets. › Day 3-4 Vang Vieng (1B) Optional hiking, biking, caving, swimming. › Day 5-6 Luang Prabang (1B) Witness the giving of alms to the Buddhist monks. Opt to take a cooking class, ride an elephant, ride bikes, visit temples, see the Royal Palace Museum, Kuang Si Waterfalls and Bear Rescue Centre or go shopping at the night markets. › Day 7 Mekong River (1B,1D) Cruise the Mekong on a long houseboat before arriving to a village homestay for the night. › Day 8 Chiang Kong (1B,1L) Mekong River travel day. Cross into Thailand. › Day 9-10 Chiang Mai Drive to Chiang Mai via Wat Rong Khun. Opt to visit Doi Suthep or the Chiang Mai Zoo, catch a Thai boxing match or grab a bargain at the famous night markets. On Day 10, board an overnight train to Bangkok. › Day 11 Bangkok Opt to visit Wat Po and the Grand Palace, go shopping, or treat yourself to a Thai massage. › Day 12 Bangkok (1B) Depart at any time.
