Literary matters have been high on the agenda at Sibford this year with visits from a number of authors. Susan Meyer (above) spoke to senior pupils about her new novel Black Radishes and held a story telling session with junior pupils. John Foster, who has written numerous books including My First Oxford Book of Poems and The Poetry Chest, led pupils in chant and rap sessions as he explained the secrets of writing poetry. He is pictured (right) with Edward Goundrey-Smith and Lottie Attfield. Former Sibford scholar Mark Logue spoke about his book The King’s Speech which tells the story of his grandfather, Lionel Logue, speech therapist to King George VI. Mark and his sister Nickie are pictured with pupils Lex Ramsey and Laura Kolos. Mark Robson, best-selling author of fantasy fiction for young adults, spoke about his latest series of novels, The Devil’s Triangle, and ran a series of writing workshops. He is pictured below with Chris O’Donnell and Beth Hughes.
