A graduate in Interior Architecture, I spent nearly four years in Malaysia with my husband’s work, returning to stay in the Banbury area in 2000. I have worked in two other Oxfordshire schools and joined Sibford School last September. I have enjoyed the year, I love the smaller classes, the setting of the school and the way we can do so much outdoors (even in the rain!). Outside school I keep my daughter on track with her studies and look after my husband, the house and the dog.

Four of our netball teams were lucky enough to take part in a PGL Netball Weekend during the spring term. The tightly run event is aimed at improving teamwork, fitness and motivation and was held at one of PGL’s newest venues, a former four-star hotel set in 150 acres of grounds in Liddington, Wiltshire. We took 36 of our year 7 and 8 girls who competed in

numerous matches and also had the opportunity to try adventure activities on a ‘come as you please’ basis. On the evening of the first day we were informed that the

U13s, U14b and U15 teams had all got through to the Plate and the Under14a to the Cup. The following day was full of more excellent play and tense matches. All teams should be proud of their performances but special congratulations go to the U13s who were runners-up in the Plate final. The weekend was a great success and thanks are due to our girls for their exceptional behaviour and wonderful netball.

publishing. I have worked in various schools including a secure training unit for young people. I then had two little girls and after five years of looking after them decided to return to school life on a part-time basis. I enjoy the rapport between staff and students at Sibford. I live locally and enjoy gardening and being out in the countryside either walking or on my bike.

Hannah Copping Geography Teacher I grew up in this area and went to school locally. I have been teaching for 11 years, having started my career in East Sussex. I spent five years working in Dubai for the ruling family, returning in 2010, and am now happy to be back home in my native leafy Oxfordshire. I like the diversity of Sibford School, and enjoyed the friendly welcome my tutor group
