outside environment and make use of the wonderful facilities that the school has to offer. I’ve done a lot of history work in and around the roundhouse and raised beds and have some great plans for the coming year. Away from school, when I’m not spending time with my family, I’m generally taking photos. I specialise in portraiture and have worked on a few model shoots, a children’s clothes catalogue and the occasional wedding. I enjoy sailing and own a small boat that I take out on a local lake.

Paul Kelly Maintenance Operative

I was born in Dublin and moved to Britain when I was eight, The wonderful views around the school

grounds and the variety of work that needs doing here make it a really lovely place to work. In my spare time I enjoy playing piano and keyboards and going to festivals.

Frances King Librarian After graduating with a degree in Library Studies I worked in Oxfordshire Public Libraries in various posts for 18 years before having my children. Having been a Teaching Assistant and School Librarian at a local primary school, I became Partnership Librarian at Banbury School and now combine this role with being Sibford School Librarian, running the library and promoting reading and information skills. I so enjoy being at Sibford – the pupils are enthusiastic, polite, caring and a pleasure to be with. I am a keen walker and love my morning Nordic walking constitutionals as well as climbing mountains in the Alps and the Lake District. I also enjoy live music

and, of course, reading!

Victoria Macaulay Science Teacher Originally an academic archaeologist based in Liverpool, I studied the development of human technology. I then trained as a science teacher to use my skills with young people. Here at Sibford the whole school is so supportive and friendly, for staff and pupils alike. I love the fact that the pupils can pursue the things that they enjoy and are encouraged to try new things. When I’m not at work I enjoy days out with my husband and my two young boys. We like to go camping and enjoy the outdoors, especially the beach.

Roger Moss Maths Teacher

I used to be an engineer. Having worked at Rolls- Royce, run wind tunnels at Oxford and lectured in Engineering at Newcastle, I switched to teaching maths about five years ago. I taught at Worcester Sixth Form College for four years and am delighted to now be part of Sibford. I like the school atmosphere and the sense that every pupil is treated as a valued individual in a school that is small enough to make this possible. I am married with three children (two at Sibford, one reading history at Oxford ) and enjoy walking, cycling and a lot of DIY.

Ingar Noble Learning Support Assistant I am German, but I have lived in France (for 11 years)

and England (for the last 9 years). I am the proud mother of an 11-year-old son and an eight-year-

old daughter. I love the peaceful and respectful, yet dynamic and creative atmosphere in Sibford School. Outside work, I enjoy contemporary and classical dance as well as spending time with my children and friends.

Annie Smith (was Coskun) Assistant Head of Support for Learning

I was born in Bristol, but have lived in the country for most of my life. I moved to the Cotswolds in 1997, and I don’t think I’ll move anywhere else. I started teaching in 2003, having had a rather long maternity break of 16 years! I have two daughters, one of whom has just graduated as a teacher while my eldest is still studying! Initially I started working in a research & development laboratory but I knew that at some time in the future I would teach – and I am so pleased I eventually did. I joined Sibford in 2011 as Annie Coskun but got married to Richard during the summer term. Sibford has a wonderful calming atmosphere and I received a very warm welcome from both the staff and the pupils. When I’m not at work I am assistant sound engineer for a 60s/70s band who gig, on average, twice a month, it’s great fun. I also enjoy playing the tenor saxophone, a relatively new activity as it was a Christmas present two years ago!

Rebecca White Cleaner I lived in Oregon, USA for 17 years and would love to go back again someday. I enjoy working here at Sibford, the friendly staff and pupils make it all worthwhile. When I’m not working I enjoy walking my three dogs.
