Victory for Gillett at inter-house sports day G

illett House went all out to regain the winning title at this year’s inter-house

sports day. After a two-year absence, during which victories went to Fry House, Gillett were delighted to once again see their name on the trophy. Pictured above at the presentation

ceremony with Michael Goodwin are Head of House Simon Baker, senior house representative Ross Atkin and junior representative Gareth Bown. Maybe it was the masked mascot (could

that be Oliver Wiltshire behind the purple face?) who helped the victory ... or perhaps it was just down to sheer determination. Simon Baker said: “I’m delighted that Gillett have won ... it was a much deserved win. Well done everyone.” Off the sports field, younger brothers and sisters were kept entertained by a range of activities including pony rides, a bouncy slide and tight-rope walking, while the French Café did sterling business keeping everyone fed and watered.
