nrichment Week is held each year in July and offers pupils the chance to enjoy activities that

they might otherwise not normally engage in. In 2012, Year 9 were given the opportunity of visiting The Garden of Heroes and Villains, a private collection in Dorsington, on the outskirts of Stratford upon Avon. The garden, which contains one of the best collections of life-size bronze sculptures in England, is normally open to the public only once a year, as part of the Dorsington village Open Gardens Day. However owner Felix Dennis invited Sibford pupils for their own private viewing. The group also visited the Heart of England Forest
Project, a charity that aims to plant and preserve the largest native forest in the heart of England. Pupils worked with business development manager Carole Longden looking at ways of raising awareness of the value of forests as an environment to encourage biodiversity and sharing ideas about how forests and woodland can inspire creativity. It is hoped that we will be working more closely with the forest in future years. Other events held as part of Enrichment Week included a tour of Mary Arden’s Farm, an authentic working Tudor farm; a residential cruise on the Norfolk Broads; and visits to the Natural History Museum and Botanical Gardens in Oxford.
