Tis visualisation of the mixed-use scheme shows one of the large areas where visitors and residents can utilise the amenities that are incorporated into the site. From here they can also access the city centre, which is just one stop away on the train network.

Te bicycle is an ingenious ergonomic object, honed to unrivalled efficiency. Te aim was for the same application of design creativity and engineering rigour that goes into the design and manufacture of a bicycle to manifest itself in this building – not as a mimicry of the bicycle but as a three-dimensional response to the functional requirements of the venue.

Located on a prominent seafront site where a guesthouse frequented by Turner once sat, the new two-storey gallery has been designed to maximise the dramatic setting between land and sea and the extraordinary light conditions.

Te Hepworth Wakefield is a purpose-built art gallery, located in the historic waterfront area on the banks of the River Calder south of the city centre. Te gallery building is formed by a conglomeration of different- sized trapezoidal blocks, responding to the scale and rooflines of the surrounding small-scale industrial buildings.

Rogers’ proposal for the centrally located, mixed-use scheme comprises a series of large buildings with varying scales and uses. Te visualisation shows the proposed development from a distance, thereby providing an overall view of the scheme.

Te visualisation of the proposed mixed-use development shows a high-level walkway bridging the existing revamped train station, which is located just one stop from the city centre. Te proposed scheme is shown in context with the existing surroundings and infrastructure in place.

Te project looks critically at the fact that religion is sometimes used as political propaganda tool, corrupting and destroying its purity. Te building consists of a Buddhist monastery and a monks’ residence but also secretly functions as a diplomatic ministry in the City of London.

Te proposed monastery controls movement and perception. Te building is designed to be constructed using both slow and fast techniques in parallel phases, employing Chinese contemporary construction methods as well as traditional Buddhist handcraftsmanship.
