Santa goes Fairtrade!
This month, the Fair Trade Villages team were pleased to welcome a very special new recruit to the campaign to achieve Fair Trade status for Houston and Bridge of Weir.
As you may have heard, Mr Claus, from the North Pole, took some time out of his very busy pre-Christmas schedule to help the Bridge of Weir Festival Committee when they visited Houston, Bridge of Weir, Kilmacolm, Brookfield and Quarriers with the Santa Wagon. This year, children lucky enough to meet Santa on his travels through the villages, may have enjoyed some Fairtrade goodies handed to them by the man himself or one of his helpers!
The Fairtrade Villages committee would like to thank Santa for his help in spreading the Fair Trade message, and taking the campaign a step closer to their goal.
Houston and Killellan Kirk held a hugely successful Fairtrade sale making over £600 in early December.
