There is a team from Hewlett Packard in Erskine who have been awarded funding to run a charity event for The Prince’s Trust in Scotland.
The Prince’s Trust specialise in giving practical and fi nancial support to the young people who need it most. They help develop key skills, confi dence and motivation which enables young people to move into work, education or training. Around one in fi ve young people in the UK are not currently in work, education or training. Youth unemployment costs the UK economy £10 million a day in lost productivity, while youth crime costs £1 billion every year.
To get authorisation to raise funds for the Prince’s Trust, the HP team had to present a business plan in a ‘Dragons Den’ where they were up against other teams for the funding.
The “Black Tie goes Tartan” event will take place on 17th February 2012 at the Oran Mor, Glasgow.
You will enjoy a red carpet and champagne reception, followed by a three course meal and charity auction. A live performance from Dougie Maclean and hosted by the excellent speaker Jim Leishman, the evening will end with a traditional Scottish Cèilidh.

Lord Provost’s Fundraising Burns Supper 2012
The Rt Hon the Lord Provost of Glasgow, Councillor Bob Winter, will host the 16th Lord Provost’s Burns Supper on Friday 27th January 2012, from 6pm until midnight, at the Hilton Hotel, William Street, Glasgow.
