Philadelphia, PA March 5, 2011 - More than 1,100 guests attended the American Red Cross Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter’s 12th Annual Red Ball presented by ModSpace at the Please Touch Museum.
Guests at the annual “red tie gala” sampled culinary creations prepared by the area's hottest chefs. This year’s restaurant winner was The Bistro at Our Town, Exton, PA. Dana Herbert of Desserts by Dana, winner of TLC’s Next Great Baker, presented the award.
Guests were entertained by CTO World Entertainment Productions, enjoyed the museum’s exhibits, and visited the VIP room, which was sponsored by Exelon and catered by Max and Me. Red Ball raised $285,000, the most ever for any Southeastern PA Chapter single day event.

Michener Art Museum's new Edgar N. Putman Event Pavilion
Doylestown, PA March 18, 2011 - The James A. Michener Art Museum broke ground on the Edgar N. Putman Event Pavilion, designed to increase the museum’s ability to offer its visitors cus- tom programming while establishing itself as a destination for facility rentals.
“The Edgar N. Putman Event Pavilion is an appealing blend of the
rich historic architecture of the Michener and the contemporary light-filled design of the Pavilion,” said exclusive caterer, Jeffrey A. Miller. “The space has added appeal as the exhibits change on an ongoing basis, leading to new experiences for weddings and corpo- rate meetings alike.”

The Edgar N. Putman Event Pavilion will be a 2,700 square foot light-filled, all-glass structure with a solid roof and sliding doors. The Pavilion’s sliding doors will open up so that larger programs and parties may filter into the outdoors. Integrated into and engaged with the sculpture garden and its 19th century stone walls, the event space will preserve views to and from the museum's galleries.
