Tröegs Brewery will open their new 90,000-square foot craft brewery head- quarters in the fall of 2011 called “Tröegs Experience” near Hersheypark and the Outlets at Hershey. The new facility is designed to be a unique brewing experi- ence for Tröegs' guests, and will feature a 5,000-square foot tasting room that opens into an outdoor area with views of the brewhouse.

Plans for the expansive facility currently include large designated areas for special events and catering services, but as of now there is no set timetable for the com- pletion of these event facilities. In the meantime, brewery-goers will be able to observe the brewing process first-hand and even take a self-guided tour along a window-lined hallway for an upclose view of the brewery. The addition of a pilot brewing room offers insight into Tröegs experimentation, where their popular “Scratch” brew series of beers are invent- ed and produced.

Things to Do

On June 12, 2011, some 60 rare, seldom seen automobiles will converge on the magnificent lawns of The Hotel Hershey© for "The Elegance at Hershey." Many are one-of-a-kind custom built cars, such a trio of 1950s concept cars of Chrysler, Mercury and Plymouth, and the wild Rolls-Royce Phantom III by the Parisian firm Labourdette. This homage to the his- tory of racing in Hershey will feature vin- tage race cars in motion, including open wheeled cars, sleek envelope bodied sports cars, small displacement sports racers and classic home built creations.

The highlight of the weekend, The Elegance is an invitational showing of the finest cars that will occur in and around the formal gardens and reflecting pools at the rear of The Hotel Hershey. The Elegance at Hershey is for the benefit of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the AACA Museum and AACA Library and Research Center.
