In addition, the college’s Roscoe L. West Building now features two flexible multi- purpose rooms with carpeted floors, moveable seating, and projection and presentation equipment for up to 200. A new 70,000 square foot Education Building, to be completed by 2013, will feature a tiered 167-seat lecture hall with state-of-the-art projection and presenta- tion equipment and a large flexible multi- purpose room with panoramic views of Ceva Lake for as many as 200 people.
The Atrium at Eickhoff, formerly known as Eickhoff Dining Hall on campus, was reconfigured as part of a two-phase proj- ect that spanned two summers. New color, lighting and technology were installed, and after its summer 2011 expansion, the dining hall will seat up to 885 people.
Other key event venues on campus include the variety of multipurpose rooms
in the Brower Student Center, which can accommodate groups of up to 344. The Kendall Main Stage Theatre is an 830- seat proscenium theatre with orchestra and balcony seating, a motorized orches- tra pit, and state-of-the-art lighting, rig- ging, sound and video systems. The Don Evans Black Box Theatre offers 150- seats with flexible space, and the Mildred and Ernest E. Mayo Concert Hall seats up to 317 people and features superb acoustics. The Library Auditorium has 105-seats and state-of-the art facilities suitable for various events. Finally, the college’s multi-denominational Spiritual Center seats up to 100 and is available for weddings, religious or spiritual events.
The Courtyard by Marriott Ewing has transformed its lobby and public space, and now offers welcome pods for a more inviting check-in experience. The hotel also features inviting, flexible spaces to work or relax in, free WiFi throughout, and
easy access to the latest news, weather and airport conditions via a touch screen “Go Board.” The new lobby experience also includes “The Bistro - Eat. Drink. Connect,” which provides guests with healthy food and beverage offerings in the morning and evening.
Inspired by Westin, Element Hotel Ewing provides natural light, healthy options, open spaces and eco-friendly practices. The hotel is built green, with a sustainable design and eco-friendly practices that include water-efficient faucets and fix- tures, energy efficient appliances, an extensive recycling program and more. All guest rooms are suites with kitchens and feature numerous comforts and amenities. In addition, the hotel just received its Silver LEED certification and is the only green hotel in the state.
