Valley Forge National Historic Park, the site of the winter encampment of Washington and his troops during the Revolutionary War, is less than two miles away and is a very attractive destination, as well. Also nearby are the attractions, history, culture, entertainment and dining options of down- town Philadelphia.

In addition to flexibility, adaptability, attrac- tiveness and location, budget and value are important when choosing a destination, as well. Budget remains highly important, and planners from within the pharmaceutical, medical, legal and financial sectors are seeking the best possible deals for their meetings and events.

Privacy, security and discretion at a venue are important considerations, too. As a result, host facilities generally do whatever they can to make sure that everything that is supposed to be confidential remains that way for the group.

Privacy, security and exclusivity are espe- cially important to pharmaceutical compa- nies, so choosing smaller venues often makes sense because such properties can offer the option of hosting just a single group at a time while on site. This kind of exclusivity is appealing because the venue doesn’t have to be shared with a rival com- pany that is hosting a meeting at the same site on the same day.

Through a mix of convenience, value, affordability, exclusivity, great food and unique opportunities for recreation and entertainment, host facilities can forge strong relationships with planners from within these market segments.

Venues that provide attractive environ- ments where planners can host successful events and meetings continue to attract these market segments. Meeting their needs is the bottom line, and properties such as these do so time and time again.
