The Historical Society of Princeton recently renovated the Updike Farmstead, which dates back to the late 18th- or early 19th-century. The historical society houses its changing history, arts and science exhibitions here, and pro- vides educational programs at the site. The farmstead includes a large barn, corn crib, and several outbuildings on six acres of farmland.


The historical society acquired the prop- erty in 2004 and completed renovations in late 2010. On the first Saturday and third Wednesday of every month until the end of 2011, the farmstead is open to the public providing a variety of art, science, and nature-based programs for members of the community. It also is perfect as a convening space for workshops and meetings, receptions, concerts, special events and other social gatherings.


For the first time since Morven Museum and Garden opened as a museum, its mansion and gardens are available for cocktail receptions, corporate meetings and brunches, holiday parties and more. Morven is situated on five acres in the heart of Princeton. Surrounded by his- toric gardens, this Georgian home was built by a Signer of the Declarations of Independence and later served as New Jersey’s first governor’s mansion.


Holiday Inn Princeton has been newly re- launched and full renovated. Elements of the Holiday Inn brand relaunch include: redesigned brand signage; refreshed guest rooms; an enhanced bathroom; and a new signature arrival that includes new lighting, landscaping and design fea- tures. Customized music and scent selections also engage guests in a com- plete sensory experience, while an uncluttered front desk promotes a more efficient and interactive check-in process.


PrincetonScoop recently launched a free, new mobile app in the Apple App Store that serves as a directory of businesses in the Princeton region, and includes maps, hours, phone numbers and websites. It also includes a list of current deals that

local businesses are offering to PrincetonScoop mobile subscribers, as well as access to their Facebook and Twitter deals, information on local events, YouTube videos of local businesses, and access to their blog. An Android version of the app currently is in production.
