Chair’s Statement
Despite the very challenging agenda facing healthcare at the moment, it is a privilege to look back over the first year of the North East Leadership Academy. In particular I have welcomed the opportunity to observe the achievements in developing the capability and capacity of leaders in the North East.
As is traditional in an annual report I will include thanks and as a partnership organisation I acknowledge that without others we could not make progress.
I will however limit my specific thanks to the following important groups; the partnership organisations for their continued support, the academy staff, small in number but succeeding in meeting the agenda with commitment and enthusiasm, and the associates for their ongoing involvement in activities.
Finally, I would like to thank the academy members themselves for attending, learning with enthusiasm and ensuring that their personal development translates to better care for patients and their families.
I look forward to continuing to make progress and working together over the coming year.
