"At a time of such fundamental changes to the structure of the NHS the need for skilled and effective clinical leadership has never been greater. The North East Leadership Academy is well placed to provide training and support in a way which is tailored to the needs of the North East.
Here the NHS works well having a long established high standard primary care service and efficient Foundation Trusts delivering very high quality secondary and tertiary care. The challenges of clinical leadership are different to the rest of the UK and I believe training developed and provided locally will offer the best solution for those who wish to help us to maintain these high standards."
