Senior Educational Leaders Development Programme
In addition to providing three core programmes (aspirant, emerging and clinical fellowship programmes), the academy also supports the delivery of several professional development programmes across the region to ensure we have high quality internal candidates who aspire to hard-to-fill and specialist roles in the North East.
Organising for Quality and Value: Delivering Improvement
Offered to all North East Leadership Academy partnership organisations, this programme is delivered by the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement and has been designed to help both clinical and operational

staff across NHS North East deliver the quality agenda.
The Organising for Quality and Value: Delivering Improvement programme gives participants the skills and confidence to roll out proven service development techniques as part of a strategic development approach to improve core skills for QIPP (Quality, Innovation, Productivity and Prevention) delivery.
Aspiring Finance Director Programme
Following the identification of a shortage of high-quality internal applicants for finance director vacancies, the North East Aspiring Finance Director programme was commissioned to develop the capability of high-potential aspiring finance directors in the competencies required of finance directors and their deputies.

To support the achievement of excellence in training and patient safety, the Northern Deanery’s Senior Educational Leaders programme aims to develop transformational leadership behaviours and provide a framework for continual leadership development, including personal qualities and integrity, setting direction, working with others and improving quality and managing services.
The programme is aimed at senior leaders in postgraduate medical and dental education, including directors, school board members, clinical tutors and advisors.
Leading in Health and Wellbeing
Commissioned by the North East School of Public Health, Leading in Health and Wellbeing is now in its second cohort, bringing together around 50 senior staff from a range of organisations across regional partners and 12 Local Strategic Partnerships, to learn together how to develop the way they lead, implement and deliver improvement of health and well-being in their local communities.
