Over the past year, the North East Leadership Academy’s aspirant leaders programme has provided tailored learning and development to 39 of NHS North East’s high- potential leaders at agenda for change band 8c-8d or equivalent.

Originally commissioned to address the shortage of internal NHS North East applicants suitable for director level posts, the programme is also supporting candidates through the challenges of service reconfigurations and QIPP (quality, innovation, productivity and prevention) savings needed to improve the regions services.

Now in its second cohort, the programme has had an excellent response from candidates.
