LOOKING FORWARD Looking Forward
The North East Leadership Academy has made remarkable progress in its inaugural year. For example, the growth in the talent pool to assist in matching the communities that we serve. In addition the developments during the past year in delivering high quality leadership development opportunities to staff across NHS North East have proved to be very timely.
Moving forwards we face an increasingly challenging environment which will require strong leadership
to ensure that we are able to deliver significant quality improvements for our patients while making vital cost savings to secure the future of our services.
I believe that the academy is perfectly placed to play a full part in supporting the drive to accelerate leadership development across the North East. This will ensure that we continue to have the right leaders, in the right place, and at the right time to continuously improve the quality of services as experienced by our patients and the North East communities.
I wish the academy continued success whilst embracing the future challenges in the coming year.
