Fitness Nordic Walking Intro
Nordic walking is one of the fastest growing fitness activities in the country. It is fitness walking with specially designed poles that turn walking into a total body exercise, enabling people of any age or fitness level to get in better shape in less time. Nordic walking combines the effects of running with the advantages of cross-country skiing. The use of the poles allows you to increase your heart rate without increasing your perceived rate of exertion. The result is a better workout without feeling like you are working any harder. Wear good walking shoes and dress for the weather. LEKI Nordic Walking poles will be available for free use during class.

Nordic Walking is the new way to walk! Poles increase stability while burning more calories, increasing your heart rate and decreasing impact on your joints. It’s always more fun to walk with a friend so bring your poles, a friend and Nordic Walk with us. A short introduction will be available for new walkers, however our focus will be on walking together!
LEKI Nordic Walking poles will be available for a $5 rental fee if you don’t have your own poles.
