Computers & Technology Excel 2007: Formulas & Functions
Functions are built-in formulas and Excel has hundreds of them! This class will concentrate on some of the more popular functions, including statistical (average, max, min), financial (pmt), logical (if, and, or), lookup (vlookup) and more. Prerequisite: Excel 2007 Part 1.

Susan Howard Excel 2007: Level 1
Gain a solid understanding of the basics of Excel, a powerful spreadsheet application. You will learn how to navigate around in Excel; use the Ribbon to issue commands; insert, delete, rearrange and rename worksheets. You’ll also learn to enter text, values and formulas, delete and replace cell entries; work with number and text formatting, and modify the appearance of a worksheet by inserting columns and rows and hiding columns and rows. Finally, learn how to save and close your workbook for easy retrieval. This course will help improve your work productivity!

Susan Howard Excel 2007: Level 2
Learn charting skills to chart worksheet data. Discover how to sort Excel data by a single column or multiple columns, freeze rows and columns and split screens. Become acquainted with techniques to link worksheets and name cell ranges. Work in the Page Layout view to ready worksheets for printing, create workbook templates and find out how to protect a workbook structure and worksheet data from unwanted changes. Prerequisite: Excel 2007 Level 1.

Susan founded her own firm, Howard Computer Training, LLC which provides classroom training for corporate clients and community education sites. Her expertise is on a variety of computer applications, especially the Microsoft Office Suite. Susan holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Purdue University and a Master of Arts in Education from San Diego State University.

Excel 2007: Level 3
Are you ready for some advanced topics in Excel? Then you’re ready to learn how to use the tools Excel offers in analyzing data: Tables and Pivot Tables. Tables provide a structure for organizing lists of information and formatting, sorting and filtering the data. Pivot Tables let you summarize data in various ways (e.g. sum, average, standard deviation) and instantly change the way it is presented. These tools offer tremendous speed and flexibility in analyzing and presenting all of your day-to-day data. Prerequisite: Excel 2007 Level 2.

Facebook & Twitter: How to Get Started! Interested in the social networking phenomenon? Learn Facebook and Twitter basics such as how to create an account, update your status, send messages, search for people you know - with whom you would like to reconnect - or with whom you share similar interests. Students may set up accounts during class if they wish. Safety and privacy issues will also be discussed.
