Woodworking Grades 3-6


All new projects—a balloon race car, pop-gun, paddle boat and more! Learn woodworking basics such as measuring, safely cutting and crosscutting, drilling, clamping and hammering while making 4-5 different projects. No power tools will be used in class and every student wears safety goggles the entire class. Please wear old clothes to class. Instructors: Youth Enrichment League

Harry Potter Hullabaloo Grades 3-6


Delve into the magical world of Harry Potter. Discuss the books, go online to write your own book review, and learn more about the author J.K. Rowling. We will make fizzy potions, secret treasure maps, magic wands, host a Quidditch tournament, design a fantasy creature and lots more. Don’t be a boring muggle, come join the fun! Magical Mud Creations Ages 7-10


Pinch, pat and roll to create all sorts of magical mud clay creations! Create shakers, puppets, sweet treat sculptures and more. You’ll even use your own knee to create a masterpiece sure to please! Create larger than life pizza pillows, candy creations and enormous drawings of your favorite cartoon character. Many art techniques will be explored in this camp including collage, drawing, sculpture and painting. Learn to experience the ordinary in a whole new way as we explore what makes pop art pop! Art Masterpieces Grades 6-8


Are you the next Van Gogh or Degas? Or maybe Kandinsky or Chagall? Find out in this wonderful camp. We’ll study the artists featured at the Minneapolis Institute of Art and work with a variety of art materials including plaster, paint, clay and more. By the end of the camp, artists will have created eight of their own masterpieces. Please pack a peanut-free snack and a drink each day. Instructors: Kidcreate Studio

Cartooning Camp Ages 8-14


Aliens, animals, monsters, people – the possibilities are endless! Local cartoonist and District teacher Tim Moen will help you learn to draw your very own characters like a pro. You also will watch cartoons and learn about the lives and stories of many famous animators like Walt Disney, Chuck Jones and Charles Schulz.
