CPR & First Aid Heartsaver CPR and AED
Effective bystander CPR, provided immediately after sudden cardiac arrest, can double or triple a victim’s chance of survival. Learn to follow a plan to act quickly and effectively in a life-threatening situation. This American Heart Association class teaches CPR and Airway Obstruction, and use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for adults, children, and infants. Certificate received: Heartsaver for Adult, Infant & Child CPR and AED (valid for 2 years).
Minnetonka Community Education is now offering CPR and First Aid certification through the American Heart Association!

Kathie Case is a certified American Heart Association instructor in the Methodist/Park Nicollet healthcare system who has taught CPR classes in the Eden Prairie, Edina and Minnetonka school districts for over a decade. Her passion for the life-saving value of CPR is contagious as she makes her classes instructive and meaningful within an environment that is relaxing and fun! Kathie is excited to be offering these critical life-saving skills classes as a part of the Minnetonka Community Education program.

Are you ready to act in an emergency? Learn a plan of action to recognize and deal with unconsciousness; bleeding; broken bones; head, neck and back injuries; sudden illness including stroke, diabetic emergencies, seizures, fainting and poisoning. In addition you will have an opportunity to practice bandaging and splinting. Certificate received: First Aid (valid for 2 years).
