Website Design and Creation for Beginners Part 1
Are your ready to put your business, hobby or organization on the Internet? Learn how to create and maintain professional-looking web pages using Microsoft Expression Web, an easy-to-use program (similar to Word) that’s inexpensive and powerful. In class, you’ll create a 5-page website with plenty of text, graphics, borders, styles and hyperlinks. Prerequisite: Windows and Internet basics.

Delve into the flashier aspects of website design using Microsoft Expression Web. In this class, we will work with forms and form data, frames, music and sound effects, animated graphics, video, Paypal, Google maps, and PDF attachments. Prerequisite: Website Design Part 1

Welcome to the World of Computers This seminar is designed for the very beginner. We’ll start with an overview of hardware and software, then get acquainted with the mouse and keyboard. After that, we’ll move into more software including Windows and word processing. You’ll learn how to create, format, and print a letter and lots more. We will even spend time on the Internet and work with e-mail. This class is slowly paced and comfortable for all beginners. Prerequisite: None No class April 22

Explore the Windows 7 operating system and become familiar with organizing Desktop icons, the Start button and Start menu, the taskbar and components of a typical window. We will delve into operating system accessories, including WordPad, to exam- ine common program features. You’ll be introduced to the Control Panel and changing mouse properties and display properties.

Lisa Murphy Windows File Management
Are you having trouble finding files on your hard drive, backing-up important data or understanding the difference between a folder and a file? In this class, you will jump into the hard drive, create folders and then move and copy files into those folders. Finally, you will practice deleting, sorting and renaming files and learn how to maneuver within Win- dows Explorer. Prerequisite: Windows 7.
