Spanish Immersion Students Level 1 This class is designed for adults whose children are enrolled in the Minnetonka Spanish Immersion program. Learn a wide variety of vocabulary words and their proper pronunciation so you can engage your student in Spanish at home. American Sign Language Level 1 Learn how to hold a basic conversation in ASL. By the end of the course, you will know how to introduce yourself and give basic information about yourself and people around you. You will also learn the alphabet, numbers, and a basic knowledge of Deaf Culture. Handouts are provided in class. Prior knowledge of ASL is not required.

Italian Language Level 1
This course will introduce you to the fundamentals of Italian grammar and vocabulary. Focus will be placed on everyday conversations and phrases necessary for the traveler: basic vocabulary, definite and indefinite articles, numbers, common questions and responses, and more. Spanish Conversation
Each class will start with a mini-lesson on grammar points or verb formation, and the remainder will be oral practice with students grouped into experience levels. Spanish Language: Verbs 1 - Where the Action Is!
This class is the next step for those who have learned the basics in Spanish for Adults with Immersion Students, or for those that took Spanish years ago and need a refresher. Students will learn regular/irregular verbs in the present, past and future tenses. Focus will be on grammar with some oral practice. Mandarin Chinese for Adults Level 1 This class is for adults with children enrolled in the Minnetonka Immersion Program or those preparing for travel in China. In this class you will learn the basics of Chinese language and culture. Pin Yin (Chinese phonic) will be introduced as a basic learning tool. The class incorporates various vocabulary words and daily conversational sentences. You will be able to carry on simple conversations by the end of the class. An $8 material fee is payable to the instructor in class.

Mandarin Chinese for Adults Level 2
This class is for adults with children in the Minnetonka Immersion Program or those preparing for travel in China. Weekly lessons will be based on progress made by participants in the previous session. Pronunciation and vocabulary will serve as the foundation of instruction for this class. Prerequisite: Mandarin Chinese for Adults: Level 1. No class May 30.
