RCF HAS APPOINTED KENNETH BREMER TO THE NEW POSITION OF PR & STRATEGIC MARKETING


RCF has created a new PR & Strategic Marketing position within the company and has appointed Kenneth Bremer to fulfil this role.


Kenneth Bremer will work closely with the marketing team, to keep branding RCF internationally, developing market- ing strategies and to keep relationships with all relevant media. He will also be supporting customers, providing them fast product information, and sugges- tions to invest in professional audio equipment. FUNKTION ONE IN TAIWAN


Less than a year ago a group of young Taiwanese audio aficionados visited the Funktion One headquarters on the outskirts of Surrey in the UK. Led by Jonathan Liao and Brian Tsai, they were exploring the possibilities of an F1 distributorship in their country. Liao had studied Music Technology at New York University and then moved to the UK to further his studies in acoustics at Southampton University’s ISVR. His first experience with F1 was at Cielo (NY) in 2003 and he was suitably impressed. So were the rest of his compatriots after the visit to Surrey. Unable to wait, Brian Tsai decided to purchase a pair of F55s, F1’s smallest loudspeaker, on the spot.


Just seven months later their first ship- ment of four Resolution 4 loudspeak- ers, two Resolution 2 loudspeakers, four F221 bass enclosures, and a smaller range of speakers, arrived in southern Taiwan port city Kaohsiung. Full story online at www.mondodr.com


ROBERT JULIAT AT THE SINGAPORE 2010 YOUTH OLYMPIC GAMES


Robert Juliat provided the big guns for two big occasions when its largest followspots were specified for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games.


The events were of truly Olympic proportions and demanded the giants of the Robert Juliat range, the mighty Lancelot 4000W HTI and Cyrano 2500W HMI followspots. Lighting designer, Koert Vermeulen, Principal Designer at ACT Lighting Design, chose Robert Juliat followspots based on his previous experience with the fixtures. “I have recommended Robert Juliat on almost all of my big productions. The move coincides with the launch of a new corporate identity. Designed to reflect the recent changes within the organisation, the new look is a combi- nation of existing brands and logos that have been updated for a fresher, more modern feel.


The Customer Services department is the first area to benefit from the reorganisation. Focusing mainly on quotations and order handling, Cus- tomer Services will be the first point of contact for customer enquiries. Supporting the CS department will be the newly-created brand management teams.
