amplifiers - GUIDE 125

ELECTRO-VOICE | TOUR GRADE www.electrovoice.com

Tour Grade amplifiers are designed for most demanding audio applications in touring sound and fixed installation. Based on Grounded Bridge class-H topology, they offer a unique combination of high output power, sonic excellence and high-efficiency in a compact lightweight format. Their integrated switch-mode power supply provides sufficient headroom to ensure high dynamic outputs and reliable operation on extreme low loads. Optional IRIS-NetTM Module RCM-26 opens up a whole world of state-of-the-art DSP including FIR-Drive, remote control, networking and unique system supervision - down to an individual loudspeaker component. Tour Grade amplifiers have a microprocessor controlled operation management system that provides useful features like compound thermal management automatic mains voltage detection. The TG5 uses grounded bridge, two-step, class-H topology to ensure the highest acoustic performance and reliability. The TG7 uses grounded bridge, three-step, class-H topology to ensure the highest acoustic performance and reliability. The TG Series also offers power and transient response to drive subwoofers, along with low distortion for critical HF signals. The high-capacity switchmode power supply provides the headroom needed to ensure high dynamic outputs and reliable operation on extreme low loads.

FIELD ACOUSTICS | UK6004EQ www.lambaplc.com

Field Acoustics amplifiers are optimised for high power transfer efficiency and offer unbeatable performance in a lightweight and compact package. Boasting up to 3000W per channel with a proven sound quality and reliability. Field Acoustics amplifiers incorporate Switched- Mode Power Supply technology and the unique class AB Mosfet output stage ensures the output transistors can make the most of their power supply, delivering huge current output and unrivalled control of the loudspeaker cone. Extensive protection circuitry ensures the amps are protected from loudspeaker short-circuits and mis-wiring. This is completely transparent to the audio signal, and, unlike almost all other forms of amp protection, will not affect the sound quality of the amplifier in any way while operating within specification. Cooling is made more efficient with turbulated heatsink design, forced-air cooled with two dual speed temperature controlled 80mm long-life fans. Low thermal mass keeps the amplifier weight down and gets the heat out quickly. Cold air is sucked in from the front, and exhausted at the back. The amplifiers have fully balanced XLR inputs and Neutrik Speakon output sockets.

FULL FAT AUDIO | FFA-4004 & FFA-6004 www.fullfataudio.com

FFA-4004 and FFA-6004 four channel power amplifiers are designed and manufactured in Hertfordshire, England by Full Fat Audio. Both power amplifiers are inherently mains power efficient and have high thermal capability to ensure service in the most arduous environments. These amplifiers are equally suited for small / large scale Installation or touring sound where specific applications might be driving main front of house sound systems or on stage monitoring systems. These versatile great sounding amplifiers have so far proved very popular with FFA’s customers in the UK and distributors across Europe, Russia, India and South Africa. At the core of each amplifier is a high ca- pacity switch mode power supply which ensures dynamic quality sound. Ideally partnered with the high current power supply is FFA’s pro- prietary Class D pulse width modulation amplifier output stage. Power output is 4 x 1000 ref. 4 Ohm and 4 x 1500W ref. 4 Ohm. Protecting the electronics is a rugged 2RU all aluminium chassis and product weight is 10kg. Neutrik connectors are used throughout with signal XLR input/link for each channel, power output Speak-ON for each channel and Neutrik PowerCON for mains supply input. These amplifiers are covered with a no quibble 5 year manufactures warranty.
