personnel from the manufacturers attended the show and helped to man their distributor’s stand. With this show gathering pace year upon year, there were a number of new exhibitors at the 2010 edition. There was news of new distribution deals at JTSE. Firstly of Wireless Solution teaming up with CSI; the show was the first time they had exhibited together. Lotta Schiefer from Wireless was on hand to support the new distribution partner and commented: “CSI has recently signed to distribute Selecon as well, and as W-DMX is now doing wireless for Selecon, it’s like the whole family together.” Next was Cloud, which has chosen Sound Directions to distribute its products in the French region, Cloud’s Simon Curtis was in Paris showing his support. APG had an announcement of a different kind. It revealed to the French press, along with one member of the UK press (mondo*dr), a new concept, which has been dubbed the ‘Uniline Solution’. APG’s Managing Director, Gregory Dapsanse explained: “The Uniline Solution is a comprehensive, multi-layered network that we have put in place to optimise the exploitation of Uniline in the marketplace.” The aim

is to provide a turnkey solution with full technical support to as wide an audience as possible for consistent, high level results, and to demonstrate that Uniline lends itself to a broad spectrum of applications. As well as wandering around the show floor looking at all the products on display visitors were also offered the opportunity to partake in discussion groups. There were eight in total split over the two days, which covered a variety of interesting top- ics. And new for 2010, was the introduction of JTSE Audio Live, a space in which audio companies were able to demonstrate their equipment adjacent to the show area, participating companies included Yamaha, Nexo, DiGiCo, Coda, EVI Audio and Audio 2 which represents Outline, DPA, and Cadac. With a question mark still hanging over Siel, coupled with the fact that dates for next year’s JTSE have already been announced, it looks like JTSE could potentially become the most important and influencial regional tradeshow for the French mar- ket, if it hasn’t already done so. JTSE returns to Dock Pullman next year on 29 – 30 November.
